About the Big Four Keep in mind that this research project, that being the “Haymarket to the Heights" focuses on the smaller Orthodox congregations formed between 1870 and 1940. At the same time I cannot exclude what I will call the Big Four. Those being, Anshe Chesed (Fairmount Temple) Tifereth Israel, Anshe Emeth (Park) and B'nai Jeshurun. Therefore, I have compiled a page on each congregation that provides the basics of their movement from the center of Cleveland eastward.
Take Note: Effective July 1, 2024 Anshe Chesed (Fairmount Temple) and Tifereth Israel chose to reunify the two congregations' back to one, and change the name to Congregation Mishkan Or. The congregation now meets at 26000 Shaker Blvd in Beachwood.
